Even more disappointed than I... read more was last week. ORIGINAL: At this year's annual service on our General, we were pressured to buy a new battery. The explanation was reasonable enough - the battery that comes with the Generac has a ~3 year life span we were told...except that our generator is ~6 years old. Why were we just hearing about this now? The price of the battery we were sold is about 30% higher than the LIST price of the battery direct from the manufacturer, and even more expensive when compared to other places the batter could be purchased. I called and wanted to share my displeasure about the obvious price gouging, but never received a call back. We'll be looking at our support options moving forward to see if we should stick with Washington Generators or go elsewhere. Disappointed.
