Why you should install an EV Charger at home:

Cost Efficiency

You can save money in the long run by charging your vehicle at home. Unlike public chargers, your electrical bill will remain relatively consistent. Whereas, by going to various public charging stations, your electric vehicle charging budget will fluctuate due to public charging stations changing their pricing, like gas stations. Also, due to the slow growth of the public charge station network, many have had to wait to charge their electric vehicle. These dilemmas are solved by investing in an at-home charging station. Our trusted team of qualified electricians can install your choice of at-home charging that meets your needs, saves you money, and increases the property value of your home.

Convenience
With at-home charging growing in popularity due to the increased cost efficiency, many homeowners are faced with the decision of the type of charging they want. Many electric vehicles are delivered with a Level 1 charging option. This option is your standard outlet; and typically charges at ~ 4 miles per hour. The next level of charging is Level 2 charging. These are hardwired directly into your electrical panel and typically will charge your electric vehicle overnight completely. Some examples of Level 2 charging are the Tesla Wall Connector or the cost effective Wallbox Pulsar Plus. Without an at-home station, you’re faced with deciding on waiting on a public charger to become available or you can drive home, plug in, go about your normal nightly routine and wake up to a fully charged battery. . While a Level 1 charger will typically get 4 miles of driving range per hour of charge, a Level 2 charger will get an average of 32 miles of driving range per hour of charge. This means that you’re charging faster with a Level 2 charging station: Typical charging time for a Level 2 EV charger is around 3-8 hours to full while the average Level 1 EV charger will take 11-20 hours to fully charge. While a Level 1 charger will typically get 4 miles of driving range per hour of charge, a Level 2 charger will get an average of 32 miles of driving range per hour of charge. Better Battery Health

A public charge station may be a faster charging option than at-home charging station depending on the type of battery in your electric vehicle. However, a rapid charger at a public charge station can exponentially increase the temperature of your electric vehicle battery resulting in permanent damage to your battery. So, not only is it increasing the wear and tear of your vehicle battery, but you are impacting the overall battery life of your electric vehicle and causing you to charge your vehicle more. Despite being slower at home, your battery life in your electric vehicle will last longer when you charge at home. Plus, you get the added benefit of not having to travel to get your electric vehicle fully charged.

We want you to live in the comfort of your home and stress free with the convenient, cost-effective at-home charging.
